Our timetable

This is our school week.

CASTANYADA CELEBRATION

Like every year, on 31st October, we celebrate ’’Castanyada’’ in Catalonia. It’s a typical Autumn celebration in which we eat toast chestnuts and typical small cakes called ’’panellets’’.

In the school we make a party with parents’ collaboration. We also make an exposition about Autumn with photographs and sculptures elaborated by children.

This year in Superior Cycle we have celebrated Halloween as well. We have invented scary stories to tell in the class.

Pupils in 6^th level have organized a terror tunnel.

Our country

We live in the town Modugno. Modugno is very near Bari, the chief town of the wonderful region Apulia. Apulia is situated in the south-east of Italy. We have a wonderful sea, but also hills and plains. Our region is full of historical and archaeological sites.

We go to the auditorium to see our orchestra playing or to watch films in the lab activities.

Arpaçbahşiş Primary School

The name of our school is “Arpaçbahşiş Primay School”

Arpaçbahşiş is a small town near the Mediterrian Sea coast.

Arpaçbahşiş town is a nice town with full of lemon and orange gardens and vegetable fields.

Many tourists come to Arpaçbahşiş in Summer time.

We speak Turkish as native language and English as a foreign language.

In our school there are children from 6 to 14 years old.

Our school is not big, it is a double storey school. It has got ;eight classrooms, a computers' room , toilets, a science lab, a playground, a library, a canteen, a staff room, and headteacher desks.

The subjects in 6th level are:  Turkish language, PE, Music, Science, Maths, English, Religious Education, Art and Computer Technologies.

OUR SCHOOL "MOGENT"

The name of our school is Mogent.

This name comes from the river in the village.

The school is in the outskirts of Montornès, next to the mountain.

We are bilingual (speak Catalan and Spanish), but the vehicular language of the school is Catalan.
In our school there are children from 3 up to 12 years old.
The school has got: big classrooms, a computers' room, toilets, a gym, a lab, a playground, a library, 4 reinforcement classrooms, a canteen, a staff room, an english classrooms, a music classroom and headteacher desks.
The subjects in 5th level are: Catalan language, PE, Spanish language, Music, Science, Maths, English, IT,Phylosophy, Art and Library.
Our teachers are: tutors (Alicia and Carol), Music (Alba), PE and IT (Ricard), Spanish (Àngels) and English (Yolanda).

Our class has chosen the name "Garlics and onions", so it had to be related to vegetables and garden. We are 24 students in the class.These are us:

"Diada de Catalunya" (The Day of Catalonia)

Last Saturday, like every 11th September, Catalonia celebrates its national day with plenty of activities related to our history and culture. The day before, we celebrated this day with some special activities in the school. So, for us, 11S is much more than the attack to the Twin Towers in USA.
